Kinja'd!!!

G force comp 2's have been on backorder for about 2 months in my size rear tire, so I need to just settle on a new high performance all season.

Damn the stance on this E92 is perfect, really will take lots of self control to not splurge on a set of LM-R’s.

I have Toyo Extenza HP’s (high performance AS) on my Juke and they are really good. I’ve had them on for almost 2 months now, and are excellent in the twistys. They are no Pilot SS good, but good for a sporty AS.

My dad really likes them, not quite Comp 2 AS level but you could certainly do worse

I ran G-Max AS03s on my Elantra Touring and Volvo V70 AWD, they’re pretty OK. Not really worth a damn in snow, but they handle cold, dry pavement OK and are reasonably hydroplane-resistant. Progressive release, and plenty of audio feedback, easy to push to the limits without exceeding them by surprise. Ride quality is middle of the road, and they’re a bit loud as they start to wear. Wore well on the ET got nearly 35K, even with two AX seasons, but the heavy Volvo thrashed the piss out of them in less than 20K miles. Overall, a good tire for the price, but don’t expect them to match the performance of a UHP summer in the dry, or to be anything other than not-quite-hapless in the snow.

(I am what you would call a VERY aggressive driver, I expect to be replacing the Dunlop Direzza Z-II *Specs on my FieSTa at the end of this summer, ~10k miles)

Are you by any chance looking at this Tire Rack test ? ;)

Do they make a Direzza DZ102 in your size? They are comparable to the Sport Comp 2 that I had on my Miata. Never go no seasons!

Sadly I have to because I have no room to store another set of wheels :(

Link isn’t working but I’ve looked at everything tire rack has put out for UHP all seasons. I have Conti dws06 on a 328i and a C300. Good tire but there are better performing options out there. Looking for something just a little more sporty for the 335i.

Thanks for the insight! I’m a pretty spirited driver myself so nice to hear from someone with a similar driving style.

I’d loooove some LM-R’s. Worth the $4-5k IMO.

If you’ve already got DWS06s, don’t know if you’ll feel the AS03s are any better... They are cheaper....

if you live somewhere it actually snows, it’s worth renting/borrowing storage space.

Northern VA. Not the craziest place for snow. A good all season works well with some safe driving.

The DWS are a great tire, they just have a really soft sidewall. Takes some of the confidence out of the steering. The DWS also seems to have gotten really expensive, I ordered the last set about a year ago and now it would be like $100 more.

It was the winter section of the test comparing the Comp 2 A/S and AS03. At least there they looked relatively comparable.

Personally I’ve never liked UHP all season tires. Too much of a compromise in too many areas. Not enough summer type performance and not good enough in the snow.

My car had Pilot Sport A/S 3s on it when I bought it, I don’t think I even kept them on for a month before I got 19s with summer tires. Getting time to buy my winter tires for my stock 18s. Probably Pilot Alpin PA4.
